Crazy Tornados Season is Here

First off, emailing tuesday cause it was a weird monday and so we get to email today! BUT This week was good! 

Miercoles: had trainers meeting in the morning, it was really cool cause there were four missionaries, (me failner, E.Steed, E. Corbin) and the AP's and Pres. so probably the smallest meeting the mission will ever have with pres! it was cool to learn a lot from him in such a small council!

then later that day I survived my first Tornado! things to know about tornados, 

1.you will wake up that morning and feel like you are swiming cause its so humid

2. the sky litterally turns green!

3. Hail the size of ping pongs/baseballs will hit and dent your car

4. the siren only goes off if the tornado hits your county. (and It went off!)

but we got some cool videos and had fun being storm chasers as we were terrified! luckily we had E. Steed and E.Moe with and they were driving in the crazy weather. I can drive in bad weather, but I wanted to make some videos haha! and we were all pretty scared of our first tornado! BUT!

the weather should be pretty crazy this season, tornados dont usually start until may so the season is ALREADY starting fast and bad! 

but the week was good! Women's conference was great! Hna. Oscarson was my favorite of the night! 

Oklamhoma City, Bikes and Training

Write to me!!!  SO, this week was good, we are planning a baptism for our 9 yr old. Geniva. 
She is a little Miss Sassy pants! Makes me wonder what kind of sass i was haha
But she is my favorite and is so funny and dang stinkin' cute!

We ride bikes! Its been a good 70* and I dont want it to get any hotter!

As of this weekend, I got the trainers call! Ill be training a little
noob again!  I’m terrified but the Lord knows better than me! Lots of
humbling will happen. Yikes!

That’s all really! We started up doing insanity and biking so my legs
are sore!

Today is my mission birthday! 8 Months today is that crazy?!?! I
feel like I blinked and here I am!

Oklahoma City-first week trainer

This past week!

well, we did mostly a lot of getting to know members and investigadores, Because we are both so new to the area, we dont have the relationships we need, so we made "magic" cookies... (no that was not a reference to drugs...)

but we spent most the week delivering cookies to people, and now our dinner calendar is full! so cookies really bring magic! 

But we are working with a TON of investigadores and trying to sort if they are really progressing or not, we had so many good things planned and then.... 

BOOM hit with snow storms. So we were literally locked in our house most of the week. So kinda a really slow week, But we did have a miracle! We found a woman Lidia Gonzales, whose 10yrd g-daughter helps us find all the Spanish in the apartment complex, but we finally met Lidia, and turns out she was actually baptized a few years ago, and had moved and never knew where the church was! So We get to re activate her and her 2 grand sons, and hopefully baptize her g-daughter in 3 weeks! it was so amazing! she started cry when we were leaving and said "I Get To Go Back to My Church!" ahh the spirit is amazing, and will always lead you to where you need to go! 

But church was cancelled Sunday cause of the clima. I think that's the first time in my life church has been cancelled. 

BUT YEAH! that was my week! love yall!

Baptism Coming

So this week, I dont really have much to say, I dont really remember all that happened... haha weeks all kinda mush together and I dont have much new to tell yall! I do the same stuff every week, but its different..? I dont even know how to begin describing mission work. 

Jackie has a Baptism date! we are stoked for that! this week we met with quite a few LA and that was good, found some potentials. 

Sunday we went on another church exchange, we went to Journey, It was very similar to Victory, we watched a baptism there. the font was a huge out side font, very different from the kind of baptisms we have. Its fun to see and experience all these different churches.

As great as it is to attend different churches, and services of all kinds of religions in my short short life, I never get the same good feeling, and knowledge that I feel and have with The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. 

I know that its the church of Jesus Christ, I know that He has called prophets today, because God is the same Today, Tomorrow and Forever. He loves us, and is the father of our spirits. Our whole purpose in this earth life is to become perfected and eventually become like him. The priesthood power has been restored, and I am so grateful I have my Dad, and brothers and family and friends who are worthy so I can use that power. God loves us, he has restored the truth in its fullness, we can read it in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, in the talks that our prophet and apostles give us today. He will continue to love us, and continue to guide us as we strive to do our best and be worth to feel the guidance of the Holy Ghost. The only way to know these things is to pray, and I hope you all will pray and continue to pray to know these things are true. 

And I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen. 

Great Week

hola familia! this week has been good, I dont really remember what happened.. BUT no church tour this week.. dang. haha

there are a few families in the ward that have spanish speaking spouses, so ive been speaking more spanish this week! thank goodness! one guy is a member, and his wife is from mexico and struggles with english, she is not a member, so I get to work with her quite a bit im excited!

Ella is doing great! she is planning on getting baptized Feb. 15th, and her grand daughtr came to church with her, SHE LOVED IT and now hopefully she will be baptized Feb. 15th as well! so work is going good!

we went to the temple! that was so great and I loved it, I just love the temple, and every one needs to go!

we mostly did a lot of tracking this week, our pool of inv. is kinda small, but we are working on it!

Reading assignment : a talk about "Pride" by -Ezra Taft Benson dont remeber what it called but it has the word pride. Sorry...

Funny: we went to the temple, and all the Samoans taught me profanity pretty funny 

so thats really all this week! LOVE YALL BYE!

We had interviews, they were good.

STLs suprised us with an exchange. Dang. Kinda ruined all our plans. But it was a good time! I dont mind exchanges its good to work with other people and see how they do things!

We met with our INV.*****, she is getting baptized Feb. 14th! She is the sweetest lady who is so sassy and so funny! She came to church and LOVED it and is going to bring all her friends!

I learned how to make GUMBO! I have 100 new recipes to make for yalls when I gets home! Im pretty dang excited. Gumbo is my new favorite food I think. 

Also I can make a dang good peach cobbler now. and lots of other foods.. 

Sunday we did a church exchange! a less active came back to church, and after church we went to her new church. Victory. That was an experience! church exchanges are pretty cool, were trying to go on as many as we can haha! 

but anyways! 

This week I really was hit hard that I am a missionary. I do things that normal people dont do. I am literally a light to some people and can help people.its kinda a big responsibility. Nothing is like mission work. and so many people rely on you to do so many things and to uplift them. Its hard to be happy smiley all the time and pretend you're not exhausted. its emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausting. you get no sleep, you study all morning/Night, try to learn a new language, find ways to help people who see no hope and have to be happy all the time and willing to take the crap that people try to shove in you face. all away from your family and friends, your phone and NETFLIX!

Who would want that life? I do. Because When I saw ella at church for the first time, and sis. Shelly at church for the first time in 18 years nothing has made me happier knowing they feel so blessed. That they are seeking out the eternal happiness that they deserve! That I get to be a part of someone finding hope that they can be happy for eternity!

I love this work. I am so tired and have a long way to go! But HOLY CRUDS its going fast and I love it!

Last week with my Spanish Area!

Hola, estoy un poquita triste porque, me voy a un otro area en Oklahoma, pero yo no se hasta el proximo semana. hna.pino esta un trenadora (spelling?) y me voy a un toro Lugar. 

Yes I am leaving Norman. Ill find out where to next sunday! hopefully still spanish cause as you saw thursday I still dont know it well enough! BUT I AM LEARNING! haha

Reading Assignment: "in The Strength Of The Lord"- Bednar

christmas was good, everyone parties the 24th so thats the day we really had fun, 25 we skyped, ate more food, and fell asleep at hna. Z's house. 

saturday was our milagro day! we have been working so hard trying to find people, getting members out with us and doing our best, but have had nothing to show. 

Saturday we got 3 new inv. (rosa, maria, Isabella) 5 return apointments with other potencials, vivisted 2 less actives who promised to come to church. and it was just a great great day!

what a milagro! we had exchanges friday-saturday and I think I really learned a lot that I needed to change and fix and become better with, and the result was our saturday! so I am very happy!

Gram Gram stalker: I think you cant find a house because you two need to serve a mission. just sayin... LOVE YOU!

Funny Story: walked around for about 30 minutes with my skirt tucked in the back of my tights. all of norman got to see my nice booty. but no family, no new investigadores came from those 20 minutes luckily! From now on I will always walk in front of my comp. 

but thats all! forgot my camera agin so no pictures... sorry mom! next time!
