Last week at the Mexico City MTC is starting!!

HELLO! yes its been 6 weeks, i still can not figure out this keyboard, or my shower... its been really funny!
This week I had my first really good spanish mess up with an investiagator, I asked Erkia if she wanted me to pick her up for church, ended up asking if i COULD WATER HER TO CHURCH. So of course its actually my teacher as the investigador and she broke outta character and started laughing so hard! haha I felt really dumb but we were all really laughing, I might cry when that happens in the real life missionary world. Haha pray for me!

P.S. nikki sometimes we are bad missionaries and talk about "once upon a time", there is a different one and its in wonderland! so go watch it! 

reading assignment for this week : ether capitulo 12, who ever finds the secret word (faith) (SNL secret word right here) and counts the correct amount of times it says it in the capitulo gets to send me a big fat bag of peanut m&ms!

This week I finished Alma in 3 days. Because Capt. Moroni has become my hero and my role model and I want to be the mujer version of him.

I also learned the difference between compound and concubine. Its very important to know that haha!

We watched a movie about how the SLC temple was made. It was incredible! I think its called mountain of the lord or something? We have Sunday movie night its the best!

Its going good here, Im so ready to leave but absolutley terrified to go. Spanish will come, I have no idea what I am doing so if any of you professional missionaries want to send me some advice that you wish you knew as a greengo please tell me!  I love the salt lake temple haha and yes I shall be married inside one day, the movie made us all bawl, took 40 years to build that temple, after the first 9 years the had to bury it because the army was coming to take it down, then they unburied it and found it was all cracked so they started over. The temple is worth everything so enjoy the sight of it! Ive gotta go soon, but I love ya! Tell the fam i love them and I shall email you saturday night I think...so watch for me!

Week 4 MEXICO CITY MTC

umm well my weeks are all the same... Wednesday we had a fast, from ingles, so the dictionary became my novio, i use it ever single stinkin day I LOVE THE DICTIONARY! umm I dont really remember anything that happend this week cause I was on Allergy meds all week... For those who dont know I dont do too well on meds, haha so I was pretty much WORTHLESS most of the week. I honestly cant tell you anything that happend on those days cause I have no idea....

This weeks reading assignment for you is Keep The Chain Unbroken- pres hinckley. I just love that man.

Ever seen warm bodies? You know how R can talk normal in is head, but cant speak human very well? Thats how I feel speaking Spanish, "Theres a latino talk to him!" (in my head) then out loud "Hola!" nailed it. That's very uplifting. 

The best devotional this week, Elder Holland feed my sheep. I have no clue what its actually called, but how much do you love jesucristo? If you love him, if you want to find happiness in this life, the first thing you need to do is understand jesucristo bled from every pore, he felt ALL your internal emotional pain, he suffered on the cross and DIED so that we can have an eternal family, receive so much glory happiness, peace and love that we cant even understand! FEED MY SHEEP is what he said before, it is what he says now. I love my salvador, he literally has given me his complete self, so that I can become so much more than I ever will be on this earth. God truly has the perfect plan.

Haha no flirting! Mom im a Misonera! Im good, haha!! Food here is garbage litterally i think they pull it out of the garbage.. to pb toast and cereal cada dia..

If you want to know HOW to be happy read the book of happiness. There is so much hope and joy in el libro de mormon. It tells you how to be happy. God gives us trials to see what we will choose,but he will always give you a path that will lead to happiness. will you choose happiness or misery? CHOOSE THE PLAN OF HAPPINESS. its right there. SO EASY PLEASE JUST CHOOSE IT! There cant be any other church, we have the prophet who has been called of god! The prophet does not run this church, but our ETERNAL Father in Heaven does. He gives us direction, and if we could just understand that, the world would be such a happy place. Choose happiness. choose the plan of happiness, it truly will make you happy. I keep saying HAPPY because HAPPINESS is so real.

Week 3 Mexico City MTC

So this week was interesting... We played soccer on wed. ball BOM! smashed into the face, nose looked like longest yard. ( You Brokded my nose) yes sideways. Went to the docotor, went to the hospital, Well turns out surgery the next morning. Surgery in mexico on the nose. Yup scary. But it was actually one of the nicest hospitals ever. Got home friday night, bed rest for a whole week. Black eyes, black face. pretty rad. 

oh p.s. this wasnt me but elder harris in my district ;) haha sorry ma....

But ya that happened, um after i emailed you last week, hna. Moberly recived 2 dozen donuts (ciculo de dulces is what I like to call them but iin spanish really just donua) and yes there were 4 of us. we each at 6.... in one night. I wanted to puke but it was delicious... haha crazy enough my pants just get more loose every pday... its those burpiees ;) haha

um my comp got the flu, its been going around the ccm, but im pretty sure its salmanila poisoning.Cause how can 150 people get sick with the flu in 2 days? that does not happen... 

it was kinda a hard learning week. For sure semana 3 in la ccm starts to take a toll, your expected to hablar solo español, and thats pretty hard. I should have tried in high school... (well maybe not haha I still passed so im good right?) but im for sure trying to learn good ways to study and im strugglin with that! but we taught Daniel, and I asked him to be bautizaro and he said yes!!! The was for sure the MOST Spiritual leccion hna. Gubler and I have had! so awesome!

GO FIND ELDER BEDNARS TALK i dont know what it is called but it is the Cookie Monster talk! it changed my whole life. he said it at the provo MTC at christmas a few years ago so i dont know how easy it will be to find... but It was incredible. Talked about the charecter of Cristo, and how the natural man turns in, and cristo siempre turns out. an amazing talk, go find it. 

I was an idiot before my mission. Why didnt I read the scriptures better. That is the biggest thing ive learned so far how much I LOVE the scriptures. I read 100 pages when I was in the Casa con mi compañera, porque ella son enferma.  (español is still a struggle but sorry i always speak spañglish now) I just love it and how much FAITH they all have. 

no temple yet, hopefully next week we will escape the 20ft wall that I still am grateful for cada noche with i hear police all night haha, thanks for the pkg. momma! I shared it with the districto and the were muy feliz!

2nd week in the MTC

 Elder Hickman and Sidney met in the temple the week before she left for the Mexico City MTC. They did proxy dealings together and now here they are together again in Mexico City!

thats some daily advice and things i learn from hna. moberly, shes my room mate, not my comp. but we get along like penutbutter and oreos. So ya we LAUGH A LOT!! we quote nocho libre all day and hopefully that helps our spanish.. also Lord Of The Rubgs so thats not helping the spanish but the elvish... haha

Anyways, tueday is pizza day so thats good! everyone can eat on tueday nights! other wise, bland pollo, or cereal, or PB toast.

For pday we play kick ball with our zone! SO FUN! AND THE PAST 3 DAYS FOR GYMNASIO  the hermanas made me teach ballet!! happiest day of my life! but then they hate me again cause i make them burpiee before ballet class.. haha I love it!

We are teaching a new inv. dainel, He is so awesome to teach! much better than the first few lessons in spansih! and I said the whole primero vision en español with out messing it up! spirit in the room was so incredible and I just love being a misionera!

It still rains everynight, but its really nice and we love it, the other night at 3 am (our casa is right next to the fence) we heard about 12 sirens going off for 20 minutes. at 3 am. thats how most the nights are actually, makes me very greatful for the 20 ft. barbed wire fence!

It seems every devotional is about marriage. No wonder misionaros  are crazy spouse hungry when they get home... Elder ballard (in my district) lectures me every day that I need to go home and get married. NOPE. haha maybe my mind will change.. .but i dont know its pretty funny. Elder ballard and I get along well, we talk about music alot, he said he would take me to rage against the machine when he got home. (dont worry momma he has a girl friend who he gave a promise ring too. i gave him crap for that so its okay!) haha

Español is comin, its hard but its coming. poco a poco. Im sure buy month 17 ill have a conversation with someone! i try to talk to the natives but they speak way to fast and i only know church words haha!

p.s. I now know why misionaros emails are so poor of  grammer we try to type so fast! haha

everyone is still emailing so I guess im just too fast.. um funny story our teacher is actually the head of the native classes, and we are his primero clase from USA so he does not know any english. But every morning he has reunions and is 25 minutes late to class,
well we were supossed to teach *****  from 9-10 saturday but no one tells us where to go or what time we teach you just kinda show up to the clase and hope your in the right spot. he came to clase at 10:30 because of reunions. so we had to teach him later, but he told us the wrong room. so we taught him in 7 minutes when we finally found the room, but it was still really spiritual. cool story.

Also our day teacher and night teacher tell us COMPLETELY different things to study so that is hard because there are 5 bigillion things to learn and we never have a set learning schedule. thats okay all part of the experience right?
