Christmas!! 26 days to go!!

So Christmas is just Spanish for more Christ! pretty cool!

Twas a good christmas week! it was fun Skyping with yall, and lots of food and eating, and parties and loads of fun!

Christmas Day was most excellent! All the Sisters in our district (so 6 of us) slept over at our house, we stayed up all night and were crazy and had lots of fun! then we all woke up in the morning and went to the institute to open up our presents together, (12 missionaries all together!) it was so fun! and my district loves me so much they showered me with Gifts! I serve around the greatest people in the world!

Then we went to the kennedys to Skype, yup my family is still weird... But they all seem taller! It was lots of fun! sorry im akward missionary and dont know what to talk about... exctept for baptism,  Im sure you are already planning on changing that!

Then we took a nap, went to some other families house, had dinner, then a big missionary party with the sr. missionary couple the Kurrs (who are from Orem!) it was a good day!

BUT SATURDAY THE 26th!!!!!! Alashanee was Baptized! Oh its been a long time coming due to situations we can not control, but she is now a member of the lords church, and has the holy ghost! I dont know what it is about these stinking Kids I get the pleasure to work  with and learn from, but I really love them. They deserve the best lives and I know they will be blessed with the companion of the Holy Ghost forever!

It was a great week! this up coming week will be crazy! we are having 3 exchanges and It should be a lot of fun! and exhausting haha!

Love ya lots! BYE!!!!!!!!

-Sid

quickie email

This week, I got super sick haha, i think it was just allergies, and then my body just kicking me in the butt from never sleeping. Its hard to sleep when you live with 4 girls who are all crazy and just laugh about stupid things all night!  But it was good week still!

We are are up in Enid to day cause we are giving a trainging for their Zone-P-day/ STM
so I dont have lots of time today!

Jessica officially has the Holy Ghost! SO COOL! best blessing we could ever possibly have from our Heavenly Father!

Sun is working twards baptism! Dec. 5th is the goal, she is worried for when she goes back to china that it will effect everything in a negative way, so we are still trying to figure out rules of that..

But man These Asians are so prepared for the gospel. they want it so bad! I really hope china opens up because the church would be so strong!

Im greatful for the priesthood, I have really studied it out this week, we would have nothing with out it. It blesses me daily!

Love you all! have a great week!

Sorry this email is so lame and I dont have pictures!

les quiero!

Thanksgiving Week

happy turkey day! im very grateful for you all! hope you have a happy and safe holiday!

This week was crazy,
Monday: up in Enid for STM, played volly ball and signs, had a really cool training on the 12 step program! I am actually now going through the booklet for the 12 week program to understand it more, its really really inspiring. My view of the atonement has completely changed. The 12 step program is incredibly humbling. So it was a really cool training!

tueday+Wednesday: Sister young ended up with strep, so we were in the house for 2 days! blehh nothing is worst as a missionary! but good thing Jessis' wedding video came in and we watched it 5 times! haha

Thursday! We had lots of weekly planning, we do service at Grace Living center, (old folks' home) and play bingo with them! its super funny! and they tell the greatest craziest stories! then we had institute. Good day

Friday: District Meeting, met with Jessica, and she is doing great! then that night we switched with the OSU campus sisters for exchanges!

Saturday: I was with sis. Liddell (from South Jordan) and we had a good day! we met this really nice old lady Bernice, but she is moving away this week, so we gave her a BOM and I just send her address to the missionaries in Kansas to go meet her!

Sunday: we are working with a lot of part members, so we can make sure they one day are sealed and can have their families together forever! we had a lot of success in that!

Funny: I still dont know the 1st vision in english, so sister young always makes me say it when we get to that part of the lesson, I was so nervous to say it in english lats night I just read it from the pamphlet.. Sister young was laughing but annoyed with me haha it was funny! now she is making me say it in every comp study so I can try to memorize it again! wish me luck!

Welll Fam! I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving! Happy 27th to my parents! thats a long long time! wahoo!

LEs Quiero tan mucho!

Happy are We

What a wonderful week!

It was crazy busy and we were  non stop from 6am-10m! I am so exhausted and may even be getting a little sick from a crazy stressful week!

BUT! Jessica has been baptized! we had to start 45 minutes late due to OSU game day traffic and that just us missionaries were at the church waiting for everyone, BUT It was such a special baptism, the spirit was so strong and you could just see the change in her when she came out of that water! She is so happy, and I am so happy! what a wonderful spiritual time!

We also had quite a few investigators to come and see! it was such a special night!

Went on exchanges with the Ponca sisters! Sis.Cox and Sis. Griner! I stayed in Stilly with Sis.Cox! we had such a day of miracles! 5 lessons and we had members come with us to each lesson! Members make the BIGGEST difference in lessons, cause then these people can see that not just us missionary freaks are Mormon, but normal people too haha! so it was really good!

We have been planning a lot for trainings and things, we will give one tonight, and another next monday night up in Enid.

But ALL IS WELL IN ZION!!!!!!!!

FUNNY: Sunday we put up our christmas tree.... Yeah we are those people.. haha! and the ZL in Enid we work with a lot told us about an apple cider vinegar cleanse, so we all drank apple cider vinegar last night... SUPER FUNNY! SUPPER GROSS!

love you all so so stinking much!

Noviembre 2? crazy...

This week was really fun! lots of things going on! lots of missionary work and lots of success!

Highlights:
Tuesday we set up a halloween booth at the downtown halloween fest in stilly! we passed our 100's of cards with our number and talked to 1000 of people! (sis young and I are really good at getting us in the public!) It was really fun!

Halloween:
we had a few meetings in the morning with the Zone leaders which was good cause thats a hard day to go and see people, But we got to go to a members home that day (with the other 10 missionaries) and we got permission to watch Saratov Approach! So yes we watched a scary movie that day haha! It was super weird to just sit a watch a movie... I never have felt like I have wasted so much time, But we cant go out on halloween so it was the best way to waste that time I guess? But ya, I dont ever want to watch a movie again.... (thats a lie) but it was just so weird and we all agreed it was odd haha!

Jessica:
his saturday we are having a baptism for Jessica! we are so excited! I have never had the opportunity to each someone so prepared for this! the gospel has already blessed her so much and I can not wait to see her grow as she learns more and more! I love Jessica so much and I am so excited for her!

Members:
we took Sis. Call out last night to see Leroy who was baptized almost a year ago! Sis.Call moved here when I got here, she is from OREM!!!!!!!! so we have a special Orem bond haha! But she got out of that lesson and just loved every part of it! Seriously work with your missionaries, you will have the greatest spiritual experience!

I flippen love being a missionary its so awesome.

-Sid!

In the huge mission van driving to a members house

The elders bought us Hot Coco cause its cold now!

Stillwater Blessings

I don't think I can get through this email with out talking about the tragedy that happened this weekend, and how the lord truly protects his missionaries.

For those who dont know, (I think everyone may know now cause it was all over the news) OSU had homecoming this weekend, they have a parade saturday morning before the game, and unfortunately a woman lost control of the wheel and ended up driving straight into the parade. many were injured and some even Killed because of this accident. My heart and prayers truly go out to all who have been effected. I know we have had some contact with a few people who were injured, but those we personally know will be perfectly fine.

early this week Sis. Young and I tried to get the missionaries into the parade, we thought it would be a great place to have many people see the church and it would be a great fun finding activity like we have done in the past! When we went to see what we needed to do to get in, the lady told us we were a few days too late, and that we would have been the last float. When we were planning Friday night for what we were going to do on Saturday, we planned to go to the parade and just talk to a bunch of people and hand out Book of Mormons. Thankful when we woke up Saturday morning, we both felt like there were other things we needed to get done (like that dang weekly planning we put off this week haha!) so we stayed home for that. around 1pm is when we heard the news, we called all the missionaries in Stillwater (the ZL's were out of town for exchanges) and everyone had the same prompting that we had and luckily the 12 missionaries here in Stillwater all stayed indoors that day.

The spirit will prompt us in small ways, we never quite know how he will do it, but just the smallest things can make the biggest difference. I am so grateful that then Plan of salvation is real. That these people can recover from their heart-ache and that the Lord truly has a plan and will do everything in his plan. We may not understand it, or want to accept it, but it is his plan. He knows what is best, all we can do is trust.

The gospel will bless you everyday. It will bless your families. I am so grateful for all the time I have left to serve here in Oklahoma! Still ahve a long journey and I plan on making it exciting! Sis YOung and I have had many miracles, including finding a family who is so prepared! we are working towards their baptism in December!

I love you all so much and hope you see as many blessings in your week as I do!

p.s. Transfers happened I am staying here with sis.Young to kill her, then I will stay here in stilly until the end! so write me a letter!

Hermana Joven y yo a la "walk around" el noche antes "homecoming" es una fiesta GRANDE!

Hard Times, Lots of Service

This week:

Had exchanges with Enid sisters! Sis. Rees came to stilly with me for the day! that was fun! Everything fell through, and no body was home, but it was still a fun day!

We had YW in excellence night! made me think of all the brattyness my YW leaders had to put up with from me... sorry mom... and kim.... and mer... haha But I didnt realize how much I loved YW until I became and old woman :-( They had a Luau and the food was delicious! they were so cute!

we have been doing a lot of service, well trying to... We go walk Dogs at the animal shelter, and its the perfect way to talk to people! people are much more willing to hold a conversation while they are petting you dog! its been great!

We had lots of success with members and investigators! The mission work in Stillwater 2 is going so well! we are teaching so many people! we had 3 people come to church, and many of the members we have been hoping to see! so its been so great here!

I can for sure see all the prayers working! everything is building up and going well! hopefully it wont come crashing down on us BUT I have faith! many people are changing and I love being a part of it!

hope you have a wonderful birthday Squat. (Nikki) I cant even belive you are 17!! what the heck?! when did that happen! Love you lots!

Hope you all know how much I love you! How much I love being a missionary! and why I love it! I get to bring this message of "great Joy" and I have truly felt The love our heavenly father has for each and every single one of us.

Dios te bendiga!

Get Ready for the Last Conference in the mission field!

Hey Familia

Well I thought the super moon was gonna be a lot more super... and plus the world didn't end so i don't know what the hype all was for...

just kidding, it was pretty cool, us and the hermanas sat outside and watched it for a good while (we live together! its a party!) ... then we realized what time it was and immediately went to bed... whoops!

This week I have been really reflection on my mission. I hit 14 months. sister young hit 16 months. so we have been talking about our missions a TON. there are so many things I want to share but this is one!

the importance of Family. My momma and Dad do everything and anything for us kids! and they are just the coolest people to ever live! my siblings (even though they dont write me) are my best friends!

I am just so glad that I will get to be with these people or eternity!

this week was good, we had an STM and I think that was the best training Sis.Yong and I have given together, they we had exchanges with the sisters in Ponca, so I got to be with a greenie all day! I love greenies! They are by far my favorite missionaries. Saturday womens conf. was wonderful! Then on Sunday I got to give a talk in Spanish at the Spanish groups sacrament! Spanish is still much easier to teach then english... i dont know why, so that was nice to use my spanish. I have yet to forget it so thats good!

well fam dam, love you all so so much! and I hope you go watch conference with a specific question. We are promised that we will get an answer. so before this weekend come up with a question. I have mine so you best get yours!

les quiero tan mucho!

Another Transfer!! Enjoying her life in Stillwater! :)

well, looks like we have planned for a great transfer! we have 2 more sister companionships in the zone, so now we will be doing many more exchanges! which are always fun! Nothing is more humbling than going on exchanges with these fantastic sisters!

We had quite a good week full of miracles! Turns out God does not want me to teach the gospel to Americans, because just about All The people we are teaching are all from Asia! 1 from China, 1 from Korea, and 2 from Vietnam! It has been quite the experience and I love learning all these new cultures!

Its so fun teaching these people because they have zero back round about God, or anything! so we start from the very basics and its incredible the growth that they have had! Our China girl (Sun) she is so prepared, and just loves everything! she reads the BOM everyday and says she can feel her life getting better everyday! Our vietnam friends (Yen+Tuan) they told us they want to believe so badly and they actually came to church on Sunday and brought their friends! and LOVED IT! Yen has the unmistakable Light in her eyes! she is hungry and so ready to change! its been "AMAZING!"

our other miracle, every saturday we do a district finding activity, so 12 missionaries all do something together to find new inv. This week it was sis. Young and my turn to plan it. So we got ourselves into a parade! we made signs and threw candy and lots of stuff! it ened up really cool!

But it was a good! week and Im looking forward to more!

les quiero tan mucho!

Still working hard

Heeyyyyyyyy family (buster bluth voice)

I dont even know what happend last week..

Monday: Enid day hung out with the Enid missionaries and gave a training on Unity, it went pretty dang well, then had a 2 hour drive home that night, so we got in at like 10:30... whoops! our bad!

Tuesday: We went to this little country town Perry where we have some investigadores and less actives so spent the dad trying to see people

Wednesday: we go and talk to people with the OSU sisters on campus every week and we talked to some really cool people, especially now that school has started there are TONZ!

Thursday: we did  our big day of weekly planning, then went to get the oil changed and we have now started to take institute! our pres has asked us to take institute now so thats what we will be doing every Thursday (we do get credit!)

Friday: had district meeting, did a lot of potencial visits and visited this recent convert family, watched the Jose Smith movie with them and the little boy who is 11 said "he did that with the Melchizedek priesthood! it was so cool to see how he know the difference between the two!

Saturday: we had a huge storm and our power went out for 5 hours! we no light and no flash lights.... (there are four of us who live together and we are dumb enough not to have flash lights) So we couldint study and we watched 17 miracles instead... Then the storm finally went away! we went to a thai cafe and it was so good! then that night a member tried to take us to eskimo joes, but the wait was WAYY to long, so we went to this really good italian place instead.. I guess I will get skinny when I get home dang it!

Sunday: church, our investigador came by her self with out her member husband so that was really cool she felt good enough to come with out him! the we ate a lot of food and had cake and ice cream for a b-day party for a member. Like I said, ill get skinny at home I guess... dang it..

and now here we are! these next two weeks should be really busy with exchanges, the temple, meetings, baptism! and lots of other cool things!

But life is good in Stilly! still adjusting to english and new area and I feel very lost right now haha but all is well!

I was reading a talk the other day, I dont remember exactly what it said, and it was in spanish so it was said a bit different than how english would say it, but We have been chosen for this time, we have been spiritual prepared for this time, We may not be older than the people here, but we are spiritually older because of the time we were prepared to come here in the premortal life. Dont forget your worth as a child for God, dont forget your purpose as his child to bring others unto him with Love, charity and service. I promise as you choose to serve someone each day you are fulfilling your purpose here on earth!

oh and another reason I am fat... we got 1/2 shakes after 8 almost everynight last week.. its a terrible tradition that we decided to discontinue but the PB fudge one tastes like a reeses cup!

Love you all so very much!

-Sid

Stillwater transfer

So here I am in STILLY!! wahhoo! it sure is a beautiful place! I could live here ;-) but probably not...

this past week was a crazy one! full of good-bye's, meetings, packing, unpacking blehh the first week of transfers is always so crazy!

But here I am in Inglish land with my white corn people!

Sis. Young is my new comp and she is darling! FROM SEATTLE WASHINGTON (sorry hit caps button)

and luckily for me they baptized everyone right before I got here! so now we are in a wonderful short drought of investigators!

Not a lot has happend this week cause of the moving in and out thing us missionaries always do! (I feel like a nomad!) but I we did see a recent convert of ours who has been having a hard time with the word of wisdom! It was really cool to see her make her own commitment to stop coffee and tea and smoking! it was a really cool spiritual experience!

im sorry my emails are getting terrible, they will be good next week until the end I kinda almost promise!

But I hope you all enjoy your last bit of summer, for me I am ready to put on my wintercoat cause it I want some snow! it is way too hot here! (105* everyday!)

BUT les quiero!

SO GOOD!

martes: our inv. Maria who hna.Failner and I found my 1st transfer in this area accepted a baptismal date! I was so excited! I cried! I was so happy! so now we gots to get her married first and then we will be good!

Live, Laugh, Love and Baptize

" if the time ever comes when we cant laugh at our selves that will be a sad time"- Pres. Gordon B. Hinkley

it was a stressful, crazy funny week that I can laugh at, trying to get our 9yrd. Geniva baptized.

(back story, Geniva is granddaughter to less active grandma, we found her and then taught her everything, set 3 different bapt. dates that didnt happen cause she didnt come to church,  then she moved to the elders area :-( and they FINALLY made the date happen so she is a kid that took 4 missionaries to get baptized.)

Thursday, she had scheduled her bapt. Interview, and we were gonna take her after to get out all her lice, but she showed up 2hrs. late for the interview... so we couldint

Friday we decided we may as well do it and get it over with,so went to her apartment and it took us 5 hours. 5 flippen hours, we sat a 9yrold in a chair and pulled on her hair. BUT SHE WAS A CHAMP!!!! she did so good! we did bribe her with millions of oreos I gave her those elsa things momma sent me, and she did watch shrek the whole time BUT! we did it! we got every little thing out and she looked BEAUTIFUL! her grama cried when we were done, and she told us "my head doesnt hurt anymore" so it was 10000000000 awful, but 100000000000000000 worth it!

Saturday, bapt. starts at 4 we get there at 2 to fill the font and set everything up, Grandma calls at 3 saying "we are still at work, we cant bring Geniva!" what the heck! so hna. Hilton and I are driving to Genivas while the elders fill the font and all of us are calling EVERYONE to pick her up cause we cant have people in our car, we get to her house, she is not ready. hna. Hilton finds her something to wear while I am calling 40 people. Long story short, she made it to the church, her mom (non member) and Grandma came just after 4, and it was the most beautiful baptism in the world!

SUNDAY: confirmation day, we pull up to Genivas with the elders to wait for her ride to pick her up, her mom comes out saying "we cant come we are going to work! and geniva isint here she is at her aunts!" FLIP! so we have to find the aunts apartment across town. knocked 10000 doors at 8am to find her cause her salvation was on the line!

We got her to church only 40 minutes late, and luckily sacrament meeting is last.

It was an adventurous week, lots of milagros happend and lots of fun and crazy stress.. but I can Laugh it it!

The spirit was so strong this week, and the Lord was guiding us the whole way! I know for a fact he helped us in so many things this week, and he helps me all the time. We just need to get on our knees and talk to him. he is the father of our spirits and he loves us.

Te amo!

-Sid

Us last p-day the red-cross service crew with the sickest english elders in history

The Zoo

Well, I have lost the motivation to email... So I dont know how good tyhis one will be today!

Last week for P-day we went to the zoo! it was a good change from what we usually do!

we also had all our appointments cancel on us, cause of weather, and cause when there are tornados there is a LOT of work. there goes our construction workers... which is 90% of our inv. haha But we will get them back on the roll again!

Hna. Hilton is legit, she doesnt even need training which is good for me. We were reading in this red stress librito que tenemos y it was talking about how sometimes you get own on your self. we were switch off who reads the paragraphs out loud cause we read it together. the parts I read out loud
" you may be a bit disorganized" "you may get lost in the area" "you may be tired everyday"

so haha we had a good good laugh. those all qualify under my belt.

The weathers been CRAZY! ITS 100 THEN ITS 50 THEN ITS 80 AND THUINDERSTORM I dont even

I love my mission and I love these crazy Okies! The weather is weird but always an adventure! there is nothing like being a missionary! its really cool to see these people learn grow and change! Ive been converted to be an OKIE for life!

hope yalls are good!

Les Quiero mucho!

-Sid

Driving to the Zoo (I got to drive the fancy ZL truck wahoo!)

Hump Day

Dang its been a fast 9 months! but Glad yalls are enjoying my tornado videos and all! ;-)

this past week!

Monday: had sports at the church, ate at campos, and I think we did some late night knocking (best time to do so for spanishland!)

Tuesday: visited our inv. Maria Sanchez to have a church lesson, but she friend was there and she gave us a Blessing. as different as that experience was, I am good to never do that again. she was yelling and shaking us and I was scared she was trying to cast a demon out of me or something.. haha!

wed: we saw Jose, and he played the guitar for us and we just had a jam session in his doorway cause we cant go inside cause we didnt have a woman with us, so he just played all the Jesus songs he wrote and it was so funny! ive got a video that ill send in like 6 months haha!

thursday: red cross service, and we celabrated my hump day by trying a hole in the wall Dinner "the Hungry Frog" best place I have ever eaten my whole mission!

Friday: went to the Alonso familys home and ate arepas! my favorite food in the entire world! ill make em when I get home, cause hna. Alonso lets me cook with her so I was stoked!

Saturday: we went to the Red cross "volunteer carnival" they were saying thank you to us and we got to kareoke some of our christan spanish music and it was so funny! of course I have video of that also..

Sunday: Maria Mendez came to church! so we were stoked! and we had an orcestre (spanish or ingles I dont know?!) but it was cool to just listen to music and sit and not be runing around all sunday night!

Spiritual: this week we decided none of our inv. were really progressing, so we went to the lord in fasting and prayer and decided who ever did NOT come to church we were dropping, aside from part memberfamily and those we had found just this past week. It was so scary, but we decided if the lord wanted them to progress, he would have them at church. The lord knows exactly what he wants, we just needed to do what he wanted! and we felt we needed to do a lot of evaluating and dropping and cleaning up completely the area. its gonna be a LOT of work, but we know how to have fun also!

So now we are gladly teaching Maria M. Genoveva our 9 yrld. And Amparo! we went from 12 unprogressing inv. to 3 progressing inv!

Something I learned in church this week: we arnt striving for perfection, but for salvation. Even the little things count, to receive salvation we need to be perfect. But lucky for us we have help from a savior and our loving Father in heaven!

p.s. if you ever have missionaries eat at your home, feed them cold cereal. I want nothing more!

Funny Story: E. Steed had to give a talk on sunday, so that ment I got to translate sacrement for an old english man who always comes to spanish branch. Bro. Barney. so I had to translate and I hate translating... haha but thats all good cause you kinda just make it up anyways. thats the secret to translating, youll never be 100% so hopefully you are a good teacher! haha

good long email for mi mama feliz cumpleanos a ti! la amo mucho mama!

love yall!

-Sid

Elder Corbbridge and me

So yesterday we had a meeting from E. Corbridge a 70. It was a really great training, it was all about our purpose and what we want to get out of a mission. We are here to teach about Jesus Christ. Teach that there is more than just this life. there is more than just doing the same thing everyday. We can change our character. We can become something more than we can imagine.

it was pretty cool... and so that is why I have p-day today!

We also had exchanges this week, so I stayed in spanish land, and Hna. Beltetone (our stl) came with me, she is hispanic so it was cool to have an actual hispanic as a companion for a day! (I've had 2 brown comps and neither have been Hispanic? really? haha I love sis. Tutasi y hna. Pine dont worry!)

then we had Interviews with pres. We have them every other month, and I love it. Its cool to just be one on one with this 7ft tall spiritual giant who has the same humor as my daddy!

And pres let me call yall for jessi's wedding! that was really cool! Glad it was a fantastic day for yall! The pictures looked great and everything looked perfect! especially the Bride! she was a catch!

Sunday we went to a famous Mexican birthday party for our inv.'s esopso. It was really fun to get to know all the family and we even got to share a TON about our church, they may have been drinking Corona, but we shared so much and made good friends laughed a ton! and the best part Amparo (our inv.) was testifying of everything we have ever taught her! IT WAS SO COOL!

I got to see hna. failner yesterday also at the meeting so that was fun! Shes doing good and preparing the South for me when i go there in 3 transfers to die. (the mission term for die.) haha PRAY I STAY SPANISH FOREVER!!! i LOVE THESE PEOPLE! But I know its where the Lord wants to send me so I can be humble. English people need the gospel too I guess.. BUT I WANT  TO STAY WITH MY BEANS FOREVER!!

Lots of work here and we are having lots of sucess! Thank you all for you prayers! we can see the blessings of them everyday! I want you all to know you have a savior named Jesus Christ, and a loving Father in Heaven. They have a perfect plan and we are so blessed to have the knowledge of it.

LOVE YOU ALL!

-Sid

I love my mission

hello!

this week was good, still having trouble getting people to do anything, like pray, read go to church and getting married so they can be baptized and have eternal families.... but it will come! actually people are reading! so the rest will follow!

we had our branch pres. Daughter come and serve a mini-Mission with us! so she was with us thursday night-sunday that was so funny! I love being with fresh new missionaries who do quite yet know whats going on, im pretty sure I am one of them, But dang its fun being with the newbies!

we found lots of miracles this week, a former inv. stopped us and asked us for the direction on the church and a BOM so we will be picking him back up after 2 years he hasnt seen the missionaries!

We also found some really cool families who we have started teaching! so this area is going to EXPLODE anyday with baptisms, hopefully it will be in July cause I am so ready for that!

Hungry Frog! i dont know if I have told you about this place, its a hole in the wall that hna. Hilton and I found coming home from red-cross one day so we ate it, SO FLIPPEN GOOD! we took our mini missionary there and she loved it! so first place we are eating at when we come back to Okie-la-homie is the Hungry Frog!

home work :watch the video "After The Storm" on mormonchannel.org

Christ is our savior, I know it, I have a huge testimony of the book Of Mormon and it is the most wonderful book of war stories, and testifies of the love our father in heaven has for us, the christ is our savior. I know its all real.

-Love you all and have a wonderful week!

Humbling Week

it very much was a humbling week, and also a week of miracles so win win. There is a Video where E. Uchtorf is speaking about a farmer who cuts down a bush to make it better, this we I was the bush that got cut down.

We have really been trying to set B-dates with everyone, ended up getting dropped, cancelled on and just not a lot of success with our current inv! none came to church and we have been praying and fasting for baptisms so we can have over 60 baptisms as a mission for the month on June!

the Elderes dont have a car, so we have to pick them up and drive them to meetings/dinners/bike shop and its taking a lot of time away but im learning patience so thats okay.

BUT with all the cutting down and rebuking and hard week we had a marvelous miracle!

We decided if none of our inv. want to progress its time for new ones, so we did this thing called special finding find street names on the map and what ever ones you and your comp match with you try out! Well on the first door of the street we matched on we met a nice lady from guatemala named Karen, she let us in with a little bit of hesitation, but we taught her the restoration, she cried when I stated the first vision, and she told us she could feel something really good. The spirit was incredible! and she accepted a Baptism date for June 27th! (she did not come to church so we have to set it back, but thats okay!) but it was an incredible lesson and I know Gods hand is in this work.

Alma 17:11 y 26:27 are what i found in my studies this week, the Book of Mormon is such an incredible tool we have. I know with out doubt it is the word of God.

Yup it was a very good learning week and we are going to have such an incredible week miracles now! the Lord is shaping me to be something more, and I am excited to live up to the calling!

les amo mucho!

Turn Around and Don't Drown

Turn Around and Don’t Drown!!

Lots of rain, it has slowed the work down a bit, but when you are cold and wet, just take off your shoes and keep walking cause nothing is worst than wet socks!

This week was good though! We have committed Amparo and Maria Mendez to pray about bapt. the 27th of june! So keep them in your prayers please!

We have a baptism this saturday though! Our little 9yr. Genoveva! We are so pumped! I will send lots of pictures! (p.s. thursday we have to pick out her lice so pray for me!!)

Tuesday we were eating lunch at a members, and all the sudden the house started shaking and the lights all burnt out and it was really loud thunder! So we did what any normal person would, kept eating, then 4 firetrucks and 1 ambulance later, we went outside to see what happened. The house 3 houses down got struck by lightningt!! It was nuts! Oklahoma is a trip!

We were driving home from a branch activity in the middle of a Tornado, we were taking the Elders home because they dont have a car for a week. Its 9:20pm we get a call from Amparo! she said "hermanas! I got work off! Find me a ride to church tomorrow morning!" That was a dream come true! After so much praying and more praying Amparo came to church! We had 4 inv. at church on sunday!! That has been the biggest struggle for me is getting people to church, but it happened! I was so happy!

Les amo mucho!

1. the flippen Elders keep giving me Mtn. Dew cause we save them from tornados
2. The house that got struck by lightning!

Thank you so much for the package though! and the money! it was much needed! I can now have shiny legs and face and wash my hair and I have PONYTAILS!!!!!!!

But I bought my new backpack today, and some other needed things, it was very good. I still need to go grab some shoes cause mine are wrecked haha so it will be good!

If you could send me rain boots (maybe short ankle high ones?) that are black that would be most helpful! and maybe a rain coat that is black or grey so I can wear it with everything? haha the one I have now is good, just the arms soak through after a bit, so the rain coat is actually not something I really need maybe it can be my early B-day present( or a pair of my pointe shoes!;-) )  They say June is the worst month for rain and we are on tornado watch again basically all week. wahoo.... haha but Its exciting sometimes! Right now its just a pain and getting in the way of missionary work. Its hard to find a motive to go knock doors when there is a tornado outside, but then again that’s when we have the most fun!

But no worries! All is well! June will be the GREATEST month ever!

You all look like youre having lots of fun! The package is very much appreciated as is the $100! The garments are WONDERFUL!!!

Im having the time of my life and you know I am! I miss you all dearly! Pres. asked me in my last interview what I was gonna do when I get home (he asked way too early gezz!) and I just am excited to hang out with the cool kids on the block again!

Thanks so very much for all you do for me! Love you lots lots!

Crazy Tornados Season is Here

First off, emailing tuesday cause it was a weird monday and so we get to email today! BUT This week was good!

Miercoles: had trainers meeting in the morning, it was really cool cause there were four missionaries, (me failner, E.Steed, E. Corbin) and the AP's and Pres. so probably the smallest meeting the mission will ever have with pres! it was cool to learn a lot from him in such a small council!

then later that day I survived my first Tornado! things to know about tornados,

1.you will wake up that morning and feel like you are swiming cause its so humid

2. the sky litterally turns green!

3. Hail the size of ping pongs/baseballs will hit and dent your car

4. the siren only goes off if the tornado hits your county. (and It went off!)

but we got some cool videos and had fun being storm chasers as we were terrified! luckily we had E. Steed and E.Moe with and they were driving in the crazy weather. I can drive in bad weather, but I wanted to make some videos haha! and we were all pretty scared of our first tornado! BUT!

the weather should be pretty crazy this season, tornados dont usually start until may so the season is ALREADY starting fast and bad!

but the week was good! Women's conference was great! Hna. Oscarson was my favorite of the night!
